How to Thrive with Burnout

Burnout: You that feeling. We’ve all been there before. Tired, stressed, forgetful, feeling like you don’t want to go to work. Burnout is a real thing, and like many of us, burnout has been prevalent over the last couple of years as we’ve dealt with a lot of loss and uncertainty. In a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to deal with burnout. That isn’t realistic. What is realistic is developing ways that you can identify burnout before it gets out of control and you have chronic mental and physical ailments. It can be difficult, but by understanding the different stages of burnout you will be able to be more resilient and learn to manage it on an ongoing basis. Whatever you do, do not wait until every red flag is raised and you’re forced to take Paid Time Off. Develop practices each day that can help you manage and process the stress you’re experiencing so you feel better equipped and do not reach the final stage of burnout.
